Old Trappe Post Office drawers
Two drawers used in the Trappe post office when it was located in the little building that used to be in front of the Dickinson house circa 1930s-1959.

The one on the left was used for money orders and the one on the right was used as the money drawer and kept on a shelf below the counter. The drawer on the left was probably made about 1947 by Mr. Thume for Jane Thume his wife, who was the postmaster and the drawer on the right is nailed together with cut nails and probably dates to at least the 1870s.
