A bottle of Tru-Sheen fly spray. The Tru-Sheen Company, Trappe, Md. was probably just a local label attached to products made elsewhere. Does anyone know anything about this Trappe enterprise? It probably dates from the 1930s or '40s. These were the days before aerosol cans, so the fly spray was poured into a sprayer that had a little tank mounted beneath a horizontal plunger. It was somewhat of an art to operate the plunger while keeping the contraption aimed to spray some sort of noxious mixture in the general direction of the fly.
