This window is dedicated to the memory of Rev. Walter and Lee Simpson. The installation was mentioned in an article in the Star Democrat on Aug. 7, 1915 "A VISIT TO TRAPPE Editor of Baltimore Southern Methodist Tells Of The Trip in Travel Editorial...The [Trinity M.E. Church South] church had been completely transformed by an intelligent application of $525. The interior is particularly artistic- the walls are painted in ocher with the woodwork done up in ivory; a carpet of a soft green shade covers the floors. A handsome memorial window, which is being erected by Mrs. Simpson in memory of her two deceased sons had not been completed, which was a disappointment to pastor and people..."
