A copy of Passano's "History of Maryland" from the library of the first Trappe High School (1866-1922) which was located on the school lot on Main St. (next to the Episcopal Church). From the label, the book was issued to Trappe High School on Sept. 22, 1908 and was book #1,741. It was likely transferred to the new brick high school building when that opened in 1922. But in the half century of more it was in the Trappe high school library, it was never checked out to anyone and, judging from the very good condition of the book, it does not look like anyone ever read it.
