Although this stone is virtually illegible now, it seems to match one of the grave stones transcribed by W. Thomas Kemp in his booklet "Old White Marsh Church" published in 1920 as: JOHN THOMPSON MERCHANT From White Haven, In England, Died, March 14th, 1742. Age 26 Years.
