It would seem that in this period, Simpson was in short lived partnerships with just about everybody in town including Dawson and Ross. Then about 1911 the business name was D. T. Simpson & Son named for William T. Simpson's widow, Dorothy Towers Simpson (1853-1941) and her son Wm. Rembert Simpson, Sr. (1883-1951). In 1950 (or very close) Mr. Simpson, the surviving partner, was in poor health and the business was sold to Charles B. Adams, Sr and ultimately to Defender Packing Company, Inc. with an agreement that the trade name D. T. Simpson & Son would continue.
